Loop Interior Architecture Walking Tour for Student Groups
Student groups could spend all day walking the sidewalks, but with this educational tour they get an inside peak into downtown buildings, from the late 19th-century to contemporary architecture. Tour groups stays mostly indoors to venture into ornate lobbies and corridors as well as the underground Pedway system of passages. The tour guide creates an interactive dynamic with visual engagement, asking questions, and presenting historic photos and videos on shared iPads. This fun, educational school tour provides students with a great introduction to Chicago as well as new ways of looking at architecture and history in downtown Chicago.

This mostly indoor walking tour digs into how and why the 1893 World’s Fair captures our imaginations more than any other event in Chicago history.
