Chicago 2017 Holiday Season in Photos

By Alex Bean on December 20, 2017

These are our Chicago 2017 holiday season photos that we tour guides have taken on our explorations of Chicago. The past month has been magical. Lights, crowds, and festivities always make this a special time of year. It’ll be neat to look back on these years from now and see how the city has changed.

We tour guides wander about town on our interior architectural tours that we run year-round. And over the past month, we’ve been snapping some photos that show the magic of the Chicago 2017 holiday season.

Happy Holidays!

We’ve had some good times this holiday season! The photo with the Santa comes from the Concierge Holiday Showcase with Key Magazine which was held at the Civic Opera House in downtown Chicago. And then we had our first ever Holiday Happy Hour! We invited our partners, concierges, DMC’s, associates, and our past public and private tour guests to come to our office, have spiked hot chocolate, and go on free tours of the historic Monadnock Building.

A few of these photos come from our Holiday Tour of Drinks, Daleys, and Dead Guys. The tour’s final run is on December 30th at 5pm. You can also share the wonder of exploring downtown Chicago on a tour with Chicago Detours Gift Cards. They make for a great last-minute stocking stuffer!

Happy Holidays to you and yours from all of us at Chicago Detours. It’s been a fun and exciting year of tours for all of us. We’re grateful to all our tour guests and blog readers. Looking forward to sharing more stories and ideas of Chicago’s history and architecture with all of you in 2018!
